If anyone had told me a week before that I would be in a sheriff’s car handcuffed with a nun, on the way to jail, I probably would have told them they were crazy. But here it was really happening. I had just been busted for laying in front of an armored train that we believe was carrying over one hundred hydrogen bomb warheads to America’s newest nuclear nightmare, the Trident submarines.

The HIGH TIMES interview

Paul Stanford was interviewed in 1990 by High Times magazine about his first arrest as a political activist in 1983, being involved with the Oregon Marijuana Initiative (OMI) since 1984, and his new hemp paper business, Tree Free Eco Paper.  In the interview High Times calls Paul “the prime mover behind America’s hemp industry”.

Paul Stanford’s Trip to Switzerland in 1998

Paul Stanford took a trip to Switzerland in 1998 to visit his friend Chris Iverson, an American living in Switzerland and growing football fields of legal cannabis.  The pictures were taken at Cannabioland, the largest cannabis farm in Switzerland covering approximately 20 acres of land with many different varieties of high-THC legal Cannabis.
